Tell Me Something Tuesday #2

Hello! Tuesday is upon us once more; so it's time for another TMST!
Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Cambria Hebert where she thinks of Q and then we all link up on her blog to share our answers.

This weeks question:
"Summer is approaching! Tell us a few of the things you are excited to do"

Another great Q!

I might be the only one, but summer is not my favourite season. I don't cope with the heat very well... I love the long, cooler evenings though.

We haven't got much cash since the bambinos came along. So we will probably look forward to taking a few day trips to the beach, woods and out on the hills. If the pennies stretch far enough maybe we will take them to a few attractions such as the zoo or the aquarium.

We also have family gatherings to look forward to with BBQs, family trips and my birthday *ahem*... it means a cake at least! Hehehe!

I want to make the most of this summer as my maternity finishes and I am back to work (joy), so it's about enjoying every minute with my boys... As well as cramming as much writing and reading into the summer as possible!

So what exciting things are you getting up to this summer? Whatever it is; I hope you have a fabulous one!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

  1. Great answers this week! Day trips to the beach and woods sound really fun. We just did a day trip to the beach with my kids yesterday!
I am totally with you on the heat and the summer, my favorite season is fall when the weather turns cool. I don't like the heat either. lol.
    Thanks for joining in TMST!

  2. I agree; I'm not a huge fan of the heat either (ironically, my husband and kids love it). It sounds like you will have a great summer no matter what you do. Day trips are always great!

    1. Thank you Erin!
Day trips are great. (And planning them are fun)Though we can't go too far on a day trip there's plenty around to keep us busy. Makes us appreciate our area a bit more... This summer I am investing in a a fan that I can wear around my neck...I really am a wuss when it comes to the heat. I get grumpy too. Thanfully, hubby's the same so he understands!

  3. I love the fall too, the colours are astonishing, and it's much cooler yet warm enough to be comfortable!
The beach is a favourite for us.. though OJ is not too keen about the sand inbetween the toes...

    Another great Tuesday Q Cambria!

  4. I simply HATE the heat. I don't go out in it any more than I have to. Of course, being retired, I have that advantage. Day trips to some fav antique stores, and stopping at my fav restaurants are in store for me this summer. Also, just relaxing in my swing under the shade of a huge maple tree in my back yard. I'm contemplating a visit to my brother in Texas, but it's so hot there, I will probably postpone until fall, my favorite season of the year. (I don't mind winter much, either. I always say I can put on enough to keep warm, but I can't take off enough to stay cool and be decent at the same time.! LOL!)

    1. Sounds good to me! Nice places to eat, browse and relax! I love the thought of a swing under the shade of a huge maple tree... Wish I had a place like that!
Postponing sounds like a good idea,as you might not enjoy your visit fully if too hot.
I hope it's a good summer for you.

  5. I know what you mean, when I lived in Phoenix I dreaded the summer and the heat..four months of 100 degree plus. Now that I live in Oregon I once again look forward to and love summer. My birthday is the first day of summer, so i am forever a summer girl. Bbques and picnics and time with family sound great. Enjoy!

Four months of 100+ degrees?! I would never have survived! I would have been a grumpy, melty-mess!
